We are thrilled to announce the NorthPoint Foundation’s recent gift to Kansas City International Academy (KCIA), a remarkable charter school in the Kansas City, MO School District. Recognizing the transportation limitations faced by the school’s students, we have gifted KCIA with two 14-passenger vans, ensuring that their students can now safely and conveniently travel to and from sporting events and extracurricular activities.
The gratitude expressed by KCIA for this generous gift is truly heartwarming. These vans will serve as a lifeline, opening up countless opportunities for their students on so many levels. With limited transportation options, many students were unable to participate fully in the enriching experiences that sports and extracurricular activities offer. However, thanks to the support of the NorthPoint Foundation, this barrier has been lifted, and the students of KCIA can now actively engage in these valuable pursuits. KCIA is not just an ordinary school; it is a beacon of educational excellence with an international focus. Embracing the rich diversity within its student body, KCIA welcomes children from over 25 different countries, many of whom are English Language Learners fluent in over 15 languages.
