Last month, our commitment to Live Generously was on full display. Team members from our Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago, and Pennsylvania offices joined forces for our annual NorthPoint Foundation Backpack Drive. Together, our teams packed over 1,000 backpacks with essential school supplies and delivered them to over 50 local schools and community centers just in time for the new school year.
For Our Communities
We believe we have a profound obligation to give back to the communities that support us and to pay our success forward. The NorthPoint Foundation exists specifically to put this value into action, seeking to enhance the lives of children and their families through hands-on service projects and impactful giving. This year’s Backpack Drive was the perfect reflection of that mission. From notebooks and pencils to binders and rulers, every backpack was packed with care to ensure students have the exact tools they need to feel confident and prepared on day one.
Culture in Action
The energy across all four offices was nothing short of inspiring. It was amazing to see everyone roll up their sleeves, work together, and get the backpacks packed so quickly and efficiently. At NorthPoint, our culture is built on the belief that we achieve our greatest goals when we join together. Everyone ran at the challenge, ensuring the job was done right.
Of course, it wouldn't be a NorthPoint event without a little friendly competition! The day featured an epic "backpack war" between Nathaniel Hagedorn and Kelly Hill. The challenge? Pack a school bag as quickly as possible, while wearing bulky oven mitts. In a hilarious, fast-paced sprint against the clock, Nathaniel took home the victory, though Kelly definitely gave him a run for his money!
Ultimately, the real success of the day isn't measured in packing speeds or numbers, but in the confidence of the 1,000 children who will walk into school on day one equipped with the supplies, excitement, and knowledge that their community is rooting for them.
